# Wheel Learning Series

> Five-step wheel curriculum: wheel strategy basics, screening, BigDipperOptions execution, lifecycle management, and paper capstone.

**Learn** · **Wheel · Step 1 of 5** · [Learn home](/learn/overview) · **Prev:** [Using BigDipperOptions](/learn/using-bigdipperoptions) · **Next:** [Module 1 — The Wheel Strategy](/learn/wheel-module-1-foundations)

You finished **Foundations**. This track teaches the wheel as a **research-and-management process**—plain language first, platform tools when you are ready.

<Warning>
  BigDipperOptions helps you **research**. It does **not** give specific buy/sell recommendations. Chart prices are **delayed**—[Delayed Data Disclaimer](/learn/delayed-data-disclaimer).

## How to progress

1. **Module 1** — understand the wheel strategy (watch the videos)
2. **Module 2** — print the cheat sheet; use it on every new ticker
3. **Module 3** — Wheel Page Guide open beside the app; compare 3, reject 2
4. **Module 4** — learn management rules and the journal, then complete the **paper capstone** (your first put cycle)

## Mindset before Module 1

* Only wheel names you are **genuinely willing to own**
* A **great company** can be a **terrible wheel candidate**
* When options pay more (often because the stock looks volatile), the stock can also be riskier if you end up owning it
* BigDipperOptions **narrows** choices; **you** decide with live broker prices
* **Called away** is often success—not failure
* **Reject** most ideas—that is the skill
