# What is score

## What Does the Score Show?

### Quick Explanation

The BigDipperOptions score measures *where market focus and participation are most intense*.

It reflects the concentration of positioning, trading activity, and interest at each strike or spread—not whether something is “good” or “bad”.

***

This score combines several core market signals observed at each strike:

* **Open Interest**
* **Trading Volume**
* **GEX (Gamma Exposure)**
* **Price Sensitivity**
* **Relative Position of the Strike**

A **higher score indicates greater attention and capital deployment at that level**—highlighting strikes or spreads with unusually high market engagement.

### How to Read the Score

* **0.0 – 0.3:** Light activity (weak signal)
* **0.3 – 0.6:** Moderate structure (often favorable for setups)
* **0.6 – 0.8:** High positioning (closely monitor behavior)
* **0.8 – 1.0:** Very high concentration (may signal instability or turning points)

> **Important:** The BigDipperOptions score is still **experimental**. Although built from strong, theory-backed market signals, it is continually being backtested and refined. Use score values as directional or relative insights—not as concrete buy/sell recommendations. The system’s underlying method will adapt and improve as more data and research become available.
